And here is my masterpiece post paint job:
I'm not 100% convinced I love it. It's quite a shocking difference, and I wonder if it looks too sterile. Below is the same perspective I used in my last post.
What do you guys think?
And, since I'm in a sharing mood today... here is the other half of the world's oddest shaped room (And a peek at the always super chic Lola the bean dog.)
*Le sigh*
Someday I'll come up with a way to make this room look better!

I absolutely love it! Not sterile at all, and such an improvement over the dirty brick. Gorgeous!!!
FABULOUS!!
It's beautiful, really. If you are concerned it's "too" white, maybe go back to black with just the top mantle piece thing. It might tie in your beautiful art better also.
But I love it either way.
Oh, to have a fireplace *swoons*.
Looks GREAT!!! Congrats on all the hard work :)
I LOVE IT!! GREAT job!!!
Looks great, especially when you compare it to the before! I agree with the comment from patty h. though, if you feel it's too much - just painting the top piece darker again might help. And lovely blog!
I like it! It looks really clean and fresh. Which pic shows the true paint color- in some it looks a lot darker than in others...
Amy, the truest color is in the last two. I took the close up as the sun was fading.
I think it looks great! Dramatic change for sure, but in a good way :)
I love it!!!! I think you did a great job!
You've been tagged! See my post dated 4/11/08
ps. love the paint color with the fireplace
where did you get your armless chairs, they are what I have ben looking for.
Hi Cassie,
The chairs are from Overstock.com. I think they still carry them in different fabrics.
What a great transformation. It looks sooooo good in white.
I know I am commenting on this post ridiculously late, but I just stumbled upon your blog. I love it!!! Plus, I love your Boston.
I love the white bricks, they look much cleaner than the red bricks.
